Fellow beer lovers - I frequently want to make my own beer, but I'm one of those people that learn best by watching someone, vs. by reading about it.
So, I asked Ken once if he'd consider running a 'beer school' at Black Oak. The wheels got turning, calls were made, plans were discussed (and are still being discussed) and we have dates!
Highlights:
- There's two sessions to beer school - the first on March 4, and the second on March 18. (Sundays.) They run from 12pm - 4pm.
- There'll be generous sampling of Black Oak beer and pizza for us to eat while we work.
- Each session costs $20 (to cover the cost of instruction, beer and pizza!). What a bargain! It makes the most sense to attend both sessions, of course!
- I'm still chatting with people on what precisely we will cover, but as soon as I know more class details, I'll post it. Until then, the first session will cover making the beer, the second session will cover bottling/kegging the beer so you can drink it.
Could there be a TBL-branded beer in our future? Learn well, folks.
Ok this was my one hundred and first event. Making Saint Patricks day my one hundredth. That works for me.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
Any chance this two-part boot camp will recur in the future?
